Together, we make a lasting positive impact on our world.
We are thrilled to share our ongoing commitment to sustainability as we enhance our program. Fisher Barton has long been dedicated to sustainable practices, which have been key to our success. We have implemented several specific sustainability initiatives that reflect our commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic growth.

Community Engagement: Fisher Barton actively supports local communities through various Food Bank programs. Team members directly support their local pantries with food drives and monetary donations through payroll deduction with a company match; our TST Sun Prairie division has a “Sunshine” plot, a corporate garden on the property dedicated to providing fresh fruit and vegetables to their local pantry and tended by team members throughout the spring and summer. These efforts are part of our broader commitment to community involvement. By actively supporting food banks, Fisher Barton helps ensure those in need have access to essential resources, and the food banks can take greater advantage of their buying power with monetary donations.
Innovative Manufacturing Practices: Fisher Barton focuses on extending the lifespan of high-wear components through advanced manufacturing techniques. Our products help reduce waste around the world. As the world’s largest manufacturer of lawn mower blades, our millions of mulching blades return clippings to the earth, resulting in reduced fertilizer use, less soil erosion, improved soil quality, and water conservation through reduced evaporation. Zenith Cutter, a division of Fisher Barton, manufactures knives and blades that directly recycle plastic, tires, wire, and wood chips for reuse in many new products. Fisher Barton reduces waste directly and supports its customers’ sustainability goals by providing longer-lasting components, reducing the need for additional manufacturing.
Environmental Programs: The company minimizes its environmental impact through various initiatives. These include reducing energy consumption, optimizing resource use, and implementing waste reduction strategies across its operations.
Our People: Fisher Barton develops talent from within. With the introduction of Fisher Barton University (FBU), we launched a program to provide educational opportunities to all its employees. FBU offers a range of training from guided Programs (roles and professional skills) to instructor-led courses for developing leadership skills.
- Recruiting/Interviewing
- Onboarding
- Developing in your role
- Preparing for your next role (vertical or horizontal)
- Developing leadership/managerial skills
These programs give employees the tools to achieve their goals and be eligible for internal organizational promotions. To date, over one-third of the entire organization is trained as Lean 6 Sigma Greenbelts. This initiative creates a culture of continuous improvement that has led to outstanding performance in our facilities and for our customers. Fisher Barton fosters a culture of fairness and collaboration and encourages employees to contribute to sustainability efforts. This collaborative approach drives innovation and ensures that training, talent development, and sustainability are integrated into all business aspects.
